47SOUL has been making waves globally with its distinctive genre, Shamstep. This style combines traditional Palestinian street music, known as "Dabke," with electronic beats, deep bass lines, and a touch of funk, hip-hop, and reggae, creating a compelling and danceable fusion that transcends cultural and musical boundaries.

Formed in Jordan in 2013, 47SOUL—comprising Tareq Abu Kwaik, Ramzy Suleiman, Walaa Sbait, and Hamza Arnaout—single-handedly pioneered Shamstep. Their debut EP, Shamstep (2015), not only coined the genre’s name but also introduced a new audience to the traditional music of Bilad Al Sham.

Their lyrics, often performed in both Arabic and English, touch on themes of freedom, struggle, and celebration, resonating deeply with audiences worldwide. Renowned for their energetic live performances, 47SOUL creates an atmosphere of unity and collective joy, addressing issues of identity, displacement, and the ongoing struggle for justice in their homeland.
