'Heated Rivalry' star Hudson Williams spotted dining at a Toronto restaurant

Heated Rivalry's Hudson Williams surprised staff at a Toronto restaurant last week when he stopped by for a meal. Talk about a score!

At the Canadian Screen Awards on May 31, Heated Rivalry took home a whopping 16 awards, including one in the category of Best Lead Performance in a Drama Series, for Williams himself. It only makes sense that the Kelowna-born actor (who plays an Ottawa-born hockey player on TV) would partake in some seriously celebratory meals, and that he did.

On July 4, Dundas West Italian joint Stelvio shared an Instagram photo of staff posing next to Williams as he stopped by for a meal.

"Guys we have a confession! We had some serious Heated Rivalry at Stelvio last night and had to call @hudsonwilliamsofficial himself to cool everyone down," the playful caption of the post reads.

"In all seriousness, thanks for popping in and next time we'll host a Hudson vs. Cotoletta match," they go on to write. Hey, I'd watch a Hudson Williams-veal cutlet showdown any day.

It hasn't been all dolce vita for the Canadian actor recently, though. In the days immediately following his win at the CSAs, a resurfaced photo showing Williams with a swastika, among other symbols, drawn on his face has stirred major dissent online.

According to TMZ, sources close to Williams have claimed that the actor was unaware of what was drawn on his face at the time the photograph was taken, during a campout while he was in high school.

"The markings do not and have never reflected Hudson's beliefs, values, or character," the source is quoted as saying in TMZ, though Williams has yet to speak out about the incident publicly.

I hear that cotoletta pairs really well with cancellation.

Stelvio is located at 791 Dundas St. W.
