Toronto's legendary ice cream shop is officially open for the season

As the chill of winter slowly, but surely fades away, Toronto is gearing up for warmer and brighter days ahead, and one sign of the approaching summer is the return of Tom's Dairy Freeze.

Located at 630 The Queensway, the iconic ice cream shop has been serving up delicious soft-serve ice cream, old-fashioned sundaes, milkshakes, and banana splits since 1969.

After a seasonal break from December 1 to March 13, Tom's Dairy Freeze has officially reopened for the 2025 season as of March 14.

On any given day in the summer, you can expect to see a long line stretching down the block from the shop, as those craving a sweet treat wait patiently to have their ice cream cones adorned with colourful dips and fun toppings.

As of Friday, March 14, Tom's is open daily from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., and if you're serious about your ice cream, make sure to arrive a little early — after all, we've been waiting months for this moment!
