Residents in one Toronto neighbourhood are expressing concern about the behaviour of a group of students at a local Chipotle, where some alleged that they've witnessed the teenagers "break" and "throw" glass bottles in front of the restaurant. 

The Chipotle in question is located at 2323 Yonge St. near Roehampton Ave. In a post on a community Facebook page, one resident raised concerns about the behaviour going on outside the restaurant, which quickly amassed over 140 comments and dozens of reactions. 

The resident alleges that there are always lots of teenagers loitering outside the restaurant, as security from the nearby mall consistently tries to de-escalate the situation. 

The moderator of the Facebook page echoed these concerns, writing that they've witnessed students engaging in shocking behaviour and breaking bottles outside of Chipotle at least three times weekly. 

Many residents alleged that they've seen teenagers breaking glass bottles outside the restaurant. 

"I live directly across from the restaurant and I do see security out there trying to get them to move on and stop loitering. I do hear the students being very disrespectful and breaking glass and bottles in front of security, telling them they have no power or control over them," the moderator wrote. 

"I've also heard security trespass them and tell them they're not allowed back. This group does not support shaming people, but when people are actually doing something wrong and are caught doing it over and over again, I think it is worth the group being aware so they can avoid the area," they continued. 

"I, for one, will not even walk my dog during this period of time because one of the students has kicked my dog before." 

Dozens of other residents confirmed that they had also witnessed the appalling behaviour outside of the restaurant. 

"I'm really concerned about the neighbourhood which seems to be on a downward spiral," one member wrote.

Last week, the owners of the Yonge Eglinton Centre — which is located just across the street from this particular Chipotle — announced that management is preparing to lock the mall's doors and prevent access to its corridors during overnight hours.

According to a memo sent out by the mall owner, RioCan, the mall will change its accessible hours starting Oct. 1, which will effectively eliminate overnight walkthrough access for local residents. 

Although the mall did not provide a reason for the change in hours, some locals believed that it had to do with the area's consistent "loitering issues."
