People behind popular Toronto bars about to open brand-new concept

A group that owns and operates a number of the most popular theme- and concept bars in Toronto is about to open a brand-new bar in the city.

After breaking ground with their popular Entertainment District bar that made mini-golf cool again, the team behind Par-Tee Putt — The MRG Group — is about to open a new spot, and they're focusing on a different sport this time around.

Set to open for business on Friday, October 18, Par-Tee Pong is following in the tradition of other ping pong bars, like SPiN, by blending ping pong and party vibes.

Who says dancing is the only way to get your heart rate up on a night out? At Par-Tee Pong, you'll be able to get your blood pumping by playing a round at one of 10 ping pong tables before 'hydrating' with some adult beverages and fuelling up with droolworthy snacks.

The open-concept bar is a perfect spot for a date or party.

The bar's design leans into ping pong's nostalgic allure, boasting brightly-coloured accents and neon lights that feel ripped straight out of the '80s.

The MRG Group manages 18 different hospitality properties and entertainment venues, icluding Toronto hot spots Rock 'n' Horse Saloon, Dublin Calling and The Porch.

Par-Tee Pong will be located at 26 Duncan Street, between Richmond and Adelaide — the same building as Par-Tee Putt.
