Doug Ford raves about 'Canada's best pizza' then gets mad at his videographer

Ontario Premier Doug Ford claims to have found Canada's best pizza, professing his love for a U.K.-based vegetarian pie chain before losing his train of thought and chastising his videographer.

Ford attended the grand opening of the eighth Canadian location of Mr. Singh's Pizza last week, showing up at the celebration for the chain's new Scarborough outpost.

The premier appeared in a brief video claiming that Mr. Singh serves the best pizza in Canada, telling viewers, "You have to try this pizza. The best pizza anywhere in the country."

A slight hiccup occurs when the person holding the video appears to lose their grip on the camera, to the disappointment of Ford, who breaks from his enthusiastic promotional voice to glare and say, "uhhh, you just moved it."

The aid filming the clip can then be heard apologizing to the leader.

And, for whatever reason, the pizza chain decided to post the flubbed version in addition to edited versions that omit the premier's disappointed dad energy.

It's no secret that Doug Ford has a bit of a love affair with food, having participated in promotions for major chains like McDonald's and Tim Hortons, where he plugged the chain's "real egg" sandwiches.

Ford has eaten everything from a chocolate bunny to cherry cheesecake and even a live bee on camera in recent years.

Earlier this year, the premier even said that he "smashed a dozen cannolis" with his political rival.

Other Ford-meets-food moments have included a visit to a local burger joint, a wings restaurant and even the PC party peddling granola bars.
