If you've scrolled through TikTok or Instagram over the past few weeks, chances are you've come across videos of giant ice cream challenges, which have been all the rage since the start of the summer. 

Many of the viral videos depict patrons of the Hampton Chocolate Factory — which is located in Tampa, Florida — attempting to devour the dessert shop's five-pound ice cream cone in under 10 minutes.

Customers who are successful in eating the giant cone don't have to pay a dime and also receive a free t-shirt to mark their tremendous feat.

Local ice cream chain iHalo Krunch serves up a variety of Asian-inspired flavours, including ube, activated charcoal coconut, Madagascar vanilla bean, matcha bean, and strawberry milk. 

The chain recently introduced its Jumbo Cone challenge, featuring a 14-inch cone that's on the house if participants can finish it in under 100 seconds.

The jumbo cone, which comes out to $22.01 after tax, is roughly three times the size of a regular cone. 

Anton Wong participated in the challenge recently, and this is how it all went down.

With the clock quickly ticking away, Wong only managed to make a small dent in the massive jumbo cone before time ran out. 

Staff at iHalo Krunch told blogTO that they introduced the challenge so that customers could have something to interact with while visiting the store. 

The Jumbo Cone will be available indefinitely, and staff say they want to gage the reception of it before setting a definitive time when the item will be taken off the menu.
