Thief breaks into Toronto restaurant just to steal a single tub of ice cream

Look out, there's a hamburglar on the loose!

On Thursday, Chef Joe Friday, founder of Toronto-based burger chain Friday Burger Company, alerted the public about a thief who broke into one of the chain's locations — and, to our surprise, did not leave with a sack full of cheesy burgers.

Instead, in a head-scratching movie, the burglar departed with just a single tub of ice cream.

The incident occurred at the company's second location just steps away from Woodbine subway station at 2162 Danforth Ave.

Luckily, no one was hurt during the whole ordeal. Anyone who spots someone walking around the East Danforth area with a suspiciously shaped backpack (or ice cream tub-shaped backpack we should say), is encouraged to contact Chef Joe Friday via Instagram
