American sub chain, Jersey Mike's, is about to open their first Toronto-area location.

Sub lovers, this one's for you: much-hyped New Jersey-based sandwich chain, Jersey Mike's, is finally coming to the GTA with a brand-new location in Markham.

The new restaurant, which is located at 8610 Woodbine Ave., marks the third in Ontario for the chain, which currently has locations in London and Kitchener.

Jersey Mike's isn't stopping there, though — the new Markham location is just one of what is set to be a fleet of more than 300 locations opening in Canada, including five in Ontario expected to open this year.

The massive expansion is part of a partnership between Jersey Mike's and Redberry, one of Canada's largest restaurant operators, who will be overseeing the entirety of the chain's Canadian expansion.

While there's no official opening date confirmed for the newest Jersey Mike's location in Markham, signage went up in late June promising the restaurant is "coming soon," so it shouldn't be much longer before the GTA gets the chance to finally try the legendary sub joint.

Jersey Mike's currently operates nearly 3000 locations worldwide, with their Ontario locations being the only two in Canada.
