Restaurant loved for its buck-a-shuck oysters opening first downtown Toronto location

If you're looking for a new buck-a-shuck oysters deal in downtown Toronto, you're in luck.

Nomé Izakaya announced on Instagram that it will be opening a downtown location in the new year.

According to the team at the Japanese tapas restaurant, the new spot will be located at 92 Fort York Boulevard and will open in early February.

Nomé is known for its fresh seafood and shareable plates, which includes its sashimi, sushi, fried chicken, and — naturally —oysters.

While its oysters are typically priced around $2 a piece, the Izakaya is known for its ongoing Buck-A-Shuck deal, which makes its locations packed almost every Tuesday and Wednesday from 5 p.m. until close.

Now, with the new location opening soon, people from elsewhere in the city won't have to venture to Don Mills or North York to try the restaurant's popular oyster deal. Instead, they can shuck away happily for cheap at a more central location.
