Chipotle raises prices in Canada again and people aren't happy
While inflation continues to wreak havoc in the lives of many, treating yourself to your favourite takeout meal is also getting more expensive.
After it was confirmed that the beloved Mexican fast-food chain Chipotle upped their prices across the border in the United States, people in Toronto have started to notice a spike in costs at their local restaurants as well.

"For the first time in over a year, we will be taking a modest price increase," Laurie Schalow, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer for Chipotle confirmed to blogTO.
The reason for the rise in price is to "offset inflation," Schalow said.
Residents of Toronto have taken to the internet to complain about seeing the restaurant boost prices.
I can spend 18$+ at chipotle for a burrito with guacamole and a large drink. (Which I love to do) Or for the same price I can buy 3 pounds of beef hamburger and a bag of buns and eat all week. The prices are so out of whack.

A user on reddit explained a single burrito now costs $12.15.
"Prices keep creeping up and up," the user said.
Burritos at Chipotle now range from $12.15 to $14.55 depending on the added protein, according to the restaurant's menu. Burrito bowls also cost between the same range.
