One of Toronto's most famous sushi spots is opening a new location

After 26 years of business, one of Toronto's most famous sushi spots will open a third location. 

Taro's Fish has had a location on Sheppard Ave. East near the North York Ikea since 2008. Prior to that the business had locations in J-Town as well as Mississauga where it built a name for itself doing wholesale deliveries of imported fish to Japanese restaurants around the city.

Its Sheppard location has mostly been a take-out operation as well as a grocery store for those wanting to buy the fresh fish and ingredients to try to make sushi at home.

They eventually expanded to a second location at 735 Markland St., Unit 8 in Markham. 

"It is with great pleasure and honour for us to announce the opening of our 3rd location..." They wrote in an Instagram post on April 9. "We have been serving the communities for the last 26 years and we are so excited to reach out to even more."

The third and newest location of Taro's Fish is scheduled to open on April 12 at 7240 Woodbine Ave. in Markham.
