Big Rock Brewery Toronto

Big Rock Brewery coming to Toronto in 2016

The Calgary-based Big Rock Brewery celebrated its 30th birthday this year. And, for its 31st, it'll be making its way to Toronto.

In the new year, Big Rock will be opening up two facilities in Toronto: a brewery, that's now under construction in Etobicoke, and a brewpub in Liberty Village. The brewery, says Big Rock spokesperson Stuart Karol, "is going to produce every drop of [Big Rock] beer that will be sold in Ontario."

You can already find the company's brands, like Grasshopper, in LCBO stores. However, this new space will mean you get fresher beer. And along with production, this facility will offer tours as well as an on-site bottle shop.

The brewpub, which is slated to move into 60 Atlantic Ave., will be a joint venture with Oliver & Bonacini. The restaurant will also sell Big Rock growlers.

Big Rock first announced it would be opening up in Liberty Village back in 2014. And, by summer 2016, it should move in.
