Bloom Bar Studio
Bloom Bar Studio tells you exactly what they're about right there in the name: floral arrangements, hand-selected wines, and fresh coffee, all in a space available for workshopping.
Like many of Toronto's newer businesses, Bloom Bar Studio - opened in early June - was birthed by the city's pandemic lockdown.
Co-owner Jill Romain had a background in events and decided to take up a flower studio-meets-speciality wine delivery service with the help of her husband and co-owner, previous fine dining manager Kal Romain.
Anyone stopping by the hip little space on St. Clair West can find a variety of their needs met all at once.
A full-service coffee bar is available, serving up GTA-produced Rufino beans, or you can treat yourself to a delicious cookie made by local purveyor Courage Cookies (Kal and Jill warn they sell out quickly).
Come evening hours, Bloom Bar Studio offers up wines from a thoughtfully-selected (and affordable) list. The selections, which Kal guarantees are all "easily crushable," range from $9 to $14 a glass and can't be found at your local LCBO.
Continuing with their theme of keeping things easy and approachable, the evening provisions provided in the near future will be light snacks and charcuterie.
Their array of retail and floral goods are equally as irresistible.
Receiving fresh flowers two to three times a week from Toronto's Local Flower Collective, Bloom Bar Studio provides both custom arrangements designed to your liking for events or displays, as well as lovely 'grab-n'-go' bouquets you can pick up on the spot.
In addition to florals, their shop shelves are brimming with items that'll make the perfect last-minute gift, all from female Canadian crafters that are sourced by the owners themselves.
Jill swears by Sewbella's silk scrunchies ($8.50), and Kal recommends grabbing a witty card by Smart & Co. ($6-$15) to pair with it.
In the upcoming months, Kal and Jill are looking forward to hosting events in their gorgeous establishment.
The space is available for private event rentals, and they have a growing list of group workshops planned.
From wine tastings with their sommelier to floral arrangement classes, there's something for everybody.
Bloom Bar Studio is located at 780 St. Clair West.
