People are divided over video of stunt filmed on major Toronto street
It's no secret that the relationship between drivers and cyclists in Toronto has rarely been harmonious, between having to constantly share narrow streets and navigating congested roads made even worse by construction or poor visibility.
One cyclist in Toronto recently used a creative — but outright dangerous — way to overcome a vehicle that was blocking a bike lane near Bloor Street West and Lansdowne Avenue.

The incident was captured by Instagram user @dimasoooooo, and shows the cyclist using his bike to jump over a bright yellow vehicle that had pulled forward to turn left onto Bloor Street West.
The risky stunt ignited polarizing discussions on social media, with some advocating for better city planning and others defending the driver for pulling into the bike lane.
It's impossible to see to make a safe turn without pulling into the lane. I bike daily but this is just rubbish design and you can't fault the driver

"Some of y'all really don't know how difficult it is turning onto Bloor St. with the added bike lanes. Without inching forward the driver of the car would not be able to see anything, especially when making a left turn," one person pointed out.
"You have to pull forward to see. Sometimes people come through while you are waiting for an opportunity to turn. I am a cyclist and a driver and you need to be aware of the situation and have some insight and understanding of the position other people are in whether they be cyclists or drivers," another user wrote.
Not only in the bike lane, but also covering the entire crosswalk

"Bloor has one of the best bike lanes but also the worst drivers," one comment reads.
Wherever you land on the issue, most of us can probably agree that a stunt this hazardous should most definitely not be replicated.
