toronto first heatwave 2008

33 degrees Celsius and $1.35 per Litre

Toronto weather, and gas prices in Toronto are both on a tear. We broke a new record for the hottest June 6th ever today, and at midnight tonight expect to see gas prices in the city make a 6-cent/L jump to $1.35/L (smashing the previous record high and then some).

And it's expected to continue, so be aware and be prepared.

If you're planning a road trip this weekend, take the advice of Liberal MP and gas-price-watcher Dan McTeague, and gas up now. If you're planning to frolic in the thick heat, make sure you take all necessary precautions.
