Morning Brew: March13th, 2007

Your morning news roundup for Tuesday March 13th, 2007:

A massive home ecstasy lab bust turned up $40million worth of drugs, chemicals, and equipment - and a couple of kids. Some people clearly shouldn't be parents.

A fire at a North York home ended up revealing a marijuana grow-op. Firefighter to wife at the end of the day: "Honey, I'm hoooome. And hiiiiigh!"

In the second separate incident within a month, another Wheel-Trans driver has been charged with sexual assault. I think it's time to take a long, hard look at the employee screening process over at Wheel-Trans.

Online tax filing should be back up and running by Thursday, so they say. This is good news for those of us that find envelopes difficult and stamps archaic.

Can Toronto be the new Milan in fashion? NDP MPP Cheri DiNovo thinks we should make it easier for our designers to get funding, and increase our international image in turn. I think we should stop comparing Toronto to other cities, now.
