Wallace Espresso is an airy, uncluttered little coffee shop at the corner of Dupont and Edwin. Their tinier original location is open a few blocks to the south-east at the corner of Lansdowne and Wallace. Unpretentious drip coffee ($2) along with well-made lattes and Americanos reign supreme here.

At Wallace Espresso, you know what you're getting. In fact, you have to, because there's no menu to be found among the quirky paintings. Seating is limited to blocky wooden benches. Doggy pals will love the water bowl outside, and in addition to coffee, small baked goods, artisanal sodas, and ice cream ($2.50 for kids, $3.50 for adults) are sold here.
