AM Coffee Studio
AM Coffee is a combination coffee shop and wellness studio space with regular classes and an elevated cafe menu.
The spot has been transformed from a raw space by exposing brick and putting in a bar for a New-York-like feel.
A grey and pink colour scheme, plants and little painted rocks with motivational sayings also distinguish the space.
You're actually free to take one of the little pieces of positivity with you if you wish.
A kale quinoa winter salad ($9.95) sees kale, baby spinach, chunks of braised butternut squash, quinoa and toasted pumpkin seeds dressed with a sweet maple vinaigrette piled onto a smear of curried butternut squash coconut milk puree.
A Goddess Glow smoothie bowl ($9.95) has a blended base of frozen bananas and strawberries, coconut milk, agave syrup and orange juice topped with homemade granola, rolled oats, pecans, almonds, dried mango, shredded coconut and toasted pumpkin seeds. Served icy cold, the overall effect feels super healthy.
Avocado toast, also priced at $9.95, takes a quintessential cafe item to the next level. Prairie Boy organic seeded sourdough laden with immaculately sliced avocado is topped with salt, a lemon pepper seasoning, a micro green mix, pickled radish and micro cilantro for a little extra flavour.
Unlike many toasts, it's also served with a restrained, elevated cucumber salad with a maple vinaigrette, mint, and a lime wedge you can squeeze over the entire plate.
A range of yogurt parfaits ($8.95) have bases of chia or yogurt, and are topped with varying combinations of ingredients like granola, nuts, fruit and berries.
Baked good offerings include items like croissants ($4), muffins ($3.50) and cookies ($2.75).
There are also slices of iced lemon loaf and chocolate energy bars ($3.50).
Wild strawberry bonbons ($2.50) with swirling pink and grey exteriors were custom made for AM Coffee by Chocolat de Kat.
Coffee is made using imported Italian Mike Oro beans.
A Moroccan Frost ($4) is a seasonal spin on a London Fog, Genuine Tea's herb evergreen peppermint combined with vanilla syrup and steamed milk for a comforting yet sharply minty warm drink.
A vegan eggnog latte ($4.50) is another example of a seasonal creation, made by steaming almond milk and vegan eggnog together and incorporating cinnamon.
A peppermint hot chocolate ($4.25) is made with a powdered mixture and extra foamy steamed milk then topped with chocolate syrup for a picture perfect presentation.
Superfood matcha and turmeric lattes run for $4 - $5.
Several $20 drop-in yoga classes are held in the back studio here weekly. The studio is also available for rentals from wellness practices to art shows and intimate performances.
