Full House Desserts
Full House Desserts specializing in traditional Hong Kong desserts. Found at the base of the Emerald Park condos at Yonge and Sheppard, this is the second location for the mini-chain. The other is in Richmond Hill.
This takeout-only operation is known for its super thin crepes that comes with a variety of fillings.
My favourite is the Full House Mango Pancake ($8.99 for two) stuffed with fresh mangoes and homemade fresh cream. So good.
The Full House Durian Pancake ($10.99 for two) is a winner too. Durian can be polarizing, but the fruit's pungency is somewhat muted here by the smooth cream.
Traditional Hong Kong desserts like the Sweet Black Sesame Paste, the slightly nuttier Sweet Walnut Paste and lighter Sweet Almond are worth an order ($5.99 each).
Order two or more and you can mix them together for a visual and gustatory treat.
If there's one thing you must order, it might be the Full House Sago ($7.49) featuring fresh mangoes, pomelo, sago and coconut milk in a thick sweet soup-like consistency. It's vibrantly yellow, with that characteristic strong mango sweetness.
