This new spot is turning paint nights into some of the hottest events in Toronto
A new spot in Toronto is bringing you a totally new kind of social night — one that you'll walk out of with a masterpiece entirely of your own.
For nearly a decade, Paint Cabin has been helping aspiring artists across Toronto spend their date nights, get-togethers and parties creating works of art beyond their wildest dreams.
Proudly boasting that their events are "not your Grandma's paint night," Paint Cabin hosts art-based parties from their two locations including their new one in Liberty Village (4B-219 Dufferin) as well as one in Leslieville (473 Gerrard East), that have already attracted over 40,000 customers... or should I say, artists?
Born out of a desire to break the mold of the traditional class model — one person instructs and everyone follows along — and offer something more hands-on, more unique and, ultimately, more fun, Paint Cabin is, without a doubt, doing paint nights like no one else in the city.
When you visit Paint Cabin, whether it be for a party with your closest friends or a date night with someone special, a company social or a hangout with your pals, you're immediately welcomed into an environment that you can make entirely your own.
There's a licensed bar serving everything from wine and beer to craft seltzers and non-alcoholic beverages, alongside a popcorn machine that's open for refills whenever you need to feed more than just your creative spirit.
You'll be assigned an easel, apron and a few small reference books from which you can choose a painting to replicate — or you can always follow the beat of your own drum and create something from your own imagination.
Paint Cabin's staff, who are always available and in good supply, will then help you to choose the colours for your work of art and guide you through the process — giving you as much or as little personalized help as you need or desire.
Let's face it — a lot of people are shy when it comes to expressing themselves creatively, but Paint Cabin hopes to break down that barrier for everyone, making the experience of attending a paint night feel as casual and rewarding as going bowling or axe-throwing.
The added benefit at Paint Cabin, of course, is that you get to walk away with a new piece of artwork to hang in your home.
It's not just traditional canvas painting that's on offer at Paint Cabin, either, they also host parties where you can paint on canvas tote bags or vintage wood signs. You can even try your hand at printmaking!
To keep the party going as the paint dries (don't worry, it doesn't take long thanks to the hairdryer-wielding staff members), the Paint Cabin also has a karaoke set up and a 360-degree revolving camera.
What truly sets Paint Cabin apart is the added attention paid to experience, with people at every turn prepared to help you and fun additions in every corner that create a truly unique experience.
You don't need to be a masterful artist to have fun at a paint party here — in fact, it might be better if you aren't, because you'll likely surprise yourself with the end product, whether you're there as a party of two or twenty.
Tickets for a traditional Paint Party start at $55 per person, or you can opt to spring for a $62 ticket which includes a complimentary drink of your choice. Ticket prices vary based on the activity of choice.
Paint Cabin offers both public nights and private events, all of which can be booked through their website at paintcabin.com.
