Toronto gets a new French patisserie and cafe
Though Brown Sugar Bakery is now gone, a new shrine to French pastries has risen in its place. Chef Bertrand AlĂŠpĂŠe, a longtime restaurateur, created the new spot specifically to showcase his baking - everything from croissants and miniature pies to quiches and bread (which get assembled into croque-monsieurs, in true French form).
