Video Vengeance #12 - Rage 1995 - Free VHS Screening!
At Video Vengeance, we've screened a few VHS from Cannon Films - specifically from their output in the eighties, when Cannon were at their peak levels of ridiculous.
If you were a spry video-jockey though, you'd know that once the Cannon logo started disappearing from shelves in the 90s, the next best thing was to reach for a tape with the PM Entertainment logo adorned on the back.
Specializing in mid/low budget action films that are packed to the gills with bullets, explosions, helicopters, flying cars and more, PM Entertainment was a haven for direct-to-video insanity.
Which brings us to 1995's RAGE starring the one, the only Gary Daniels. In this film, a corrupt group of right-wing nutsos decide that a California teacher - played by Daniels - is the "ideal specimen" to clone and create an army with. Couple this insane plot with a satirical well, for PM anyway eye on the media, and copious amounts of the aforementioned bullets and stunts, and you have a recipe for success.
Seriously, this movie has some of the most wild stuntwork you're going to see at Video Vengeance for a long time! You don't want to miss this one. They even fight in a video store, for crissakes!
RAGE had the critics exclaiming:
"Tons of action and plenty of goofy scenes to make it memorable" - The Video Vacuum
"[Rage] beats the pants off most made-for-video and even a lot of theatrical action movies." - The Unknown Movies
"RAGE delivers action all right, in a blazing full-throttle style." - IMDB User Review
"So damned ridiculously entertaining from start to glorious finish." - IMDB User Review
