Video Vengeance #11 - WACKO 1982 - Free VHS Screening!
It's the most wonderful time of the year! Yes, it's October, there's a nip in the air, and we're all scrambling to watch as many horror films in one month as we can - as usual!
To celebrate the occasion, Video Vengeance is teaming up with the one, the only, Lunchmeat Vhs Fanzine to present a film jam-packed with ridiculous skewerings of slasher and horror tropes - WACKO 1982! WACKO joins such films as Pandemonium, Student Bodies, and Class Reunion as one of the earliest entries in the slasher-spoof genre.
Director Greydon Clark of the killer-mutant-cat flick The Uninvited and TNArcade joint Joysticks stuffs Wacko full of Airplane!-esque gags - from briefcases of coffee to over-sized lawnmowers and whipped cream deaths, this film has it all. Including: Joe Don Baker, who is on the prowl and hunting down the dreaded Lawnmower Killer himself!
George Kennedy, Julia Duffy, and Andrew Dice Clay all join in on the hijinks, so get your funny-bones ready for WACKO! The motion picture made by, for, and about people like you!
It had the critics exclaiming:
"Its a great shame that nobody seems to have heard of this silly little flick." - Eat My Brains!
"All I can say, is that the images I saw then inflicted emotional scars that took years to heal." - IMDB User Review
"This has to be one of the truly greatest comedic films ever made." IMDB User Review
"I swear, some of the jokes in "Wacko" are so deplorable that you'll feel embarrassed for the actors and actresses" - IMDB User Review
Plus, we'll have plenty of vintage VHS, Vinyl, and more treats as prizes!
