Dear friends, family, readers, listeners and music lovers.

On August 1st, the Indie Blender celebrates its first anniversary as a site that suggests, reviews, recommends and promotes independent music. In honour of that, I Marc thought it'd be nice to throw a little bash to say thanks to everyone who's supported us over the last year, including our wonderful team of writers without whom we wouldn't have made it this far.

So come by The Dakota Tavern, one of our favourite venues, on August 13th for a free show with music from three wonderful folk/rock/country bands from Toronto. Bands who we are lucky enough to call our friends. The 13th also happens to be Matt from Union Duke's birthday, so that's even more reason to celebrate.
