On Sunday, October 16, 2016 The Annex Residents’ Association will be hosting the Annex Tour of Houses and Cultural Organizations - the first event of its kind - in an Toronto’s iconic Annex neighbourhood. Beginning in the Alliance Française, Toronto - Downtown Campus, the walking tour will guide visitors through a series of buildings that reflect the unique cultural and architectural history of the Annex. Featured landmarks include the Museum of Estonians Abroad, Istituto Italiano di Cultura, and 37 Madison Avenue - the first “Annex Style” house, built in 1887, and designed by renowned Toronto architect E.J. Lennox.
