Spoony Toons is a monthly, 19+ opportunity to watch cartoons from the 80s and 90s with a group of awesome, like-minded people, while holding a drink in one hand and a bottomless bowl of cereal in the other.

Some of the cartoons shown are chosen by the organizers, some are chosen via audience participation and voting at the event itself. There are prizes to be won and lots of fun to be had.

Each Spoony Toons event has a theme. This June 29th we'll be screening cartoons made or created in Canada (i.e. The Raccoons, Inspector Gadget, My Pet Monster, Beetlejuice, Tin Tin, Stickin' Around).

The event takes place at Cinecycle (129 Spadina, down a cool alleyway) and costs $10 at the door (which includes access to an all-you-can-eat cereal bar).

We'll also have fairly priced cocktails, other alcoholic beverages, and lots and lots of coffee.

Pyjama-wearing is encouraged but not enforced.
