Small Town Pistols, the brother-and-sister duo of Amanda and Tyler Wilkinson, are one of Canada's most acclaimed country music groups right now. The pair - formerly of the Grammy-nominated group The Wilkinsons - were named Group or Duo of the Year at the 2014 Canadian Country Music Awards. Their new album, Pistology, combines urban sass with country swing in songs like Ghosts, a smoky western crime story, and Jester in a Crown, about a braggart of a man.
The trio of Port Cities - Carleton Stone, Breagh Mackinnon and Dylan Guthro - forged their musical connection at Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Gordie Sampson's Cape Breton song camp. Hailing from Canada's East Coast, the three players have collectively released six solo albums and they are currently preparing to release their debut CD as a band. In the meantime, they're taking their rootsy pop sounds and powerful harmonies to the stage.
