Purple Squirrels, a brand new, Toronto based comedy series is scheduled to premiere One Night Only at Big Picture Cinemas in Leslieville (1035 Gerrard St. E.) on Saturday October 18th at 8:00 pm. Cost of admission is free. Admittance will be on a first come/first served basis.

Produced independently and utilizing 100% Toronto talent, Purple Squirrels mixes the coming-of-age-in-the-big-city dramedy of HBO's award winning hit Girls with the corporate office satire of cult favourite Office Space.

It's the first day of work for Alex, Natalie and Simon who have all gotten their big break in Toronto as Recruiters at a Downtown staffing agency RPG. On site they are introduced to their fourth co-worker Sid, who's corporate attitude immediately rubs Alex the wrong way. After a glitch in back office's reporting reveals that IT Division manager Doug only had approval for three new hires, company VP Petra pits the team against one another in a race to see who can book the most candidates for in-office interviews by the end of the day. Not wanting to leave his fate up to chance, Alex devises a plan that will save his friends and teach Sid a lesson once and for all.
