Pixar in Concert

Since its inception in 1986, Pixar Animation Studios has, across 15 feature films, spanning such landmark achievements as Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc. and Up, transformed the art of animation. Pixar films are equally noteworthy for their music scores and songs, the majority composed by either Randy Newman, Michael Giacchino or Thomas Newman (son of legendary Hollywood composer Alfred Newman).

To date, that trio’s work for Pixar has earned them a dozen Academy Award® nominations. Now, for the first time, the studio is presenting a collection of music and video clips from 14 of Pixar’s feature films performed by a full symphony orchestra, including “You’ve Got a Friend In Me,” “When She Loved Me” and the Oscar-winning “If I Didn’t Have You.”

“A whole new recognition of the way music breathes life into animation.” The Huffington Post UK
