R. Kolewe is a writer and photographer. His photographs have been shown as part of the CONTACT photography festival in Toronto in 2009 and 2011, at several shows at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto from 2008 to 2011, and can be found in numerous private collections Directors Note: R also provided the cover image for Pivots Facebook page. His first book of poems, Afterletters, is available from BookThug
Michael Listas books are Bloom House of Anansi Press, 2010 and now The Scarborough Vehicule, 2014. He is poetry editor of the Walrus and poetry columnist for the National Post. He lives in Toronto.
Mike Spry has written for The Toronto Star, The National Post, The Sports Network, and Maisonneuve. He is the author of JACK, which was shortlisted for the 2009 A.M. Klein Prize for Poetry, and he was nominated for the 2010 Journey Prize for a story from his collection Distillery Songs, which was shortlisted for the 2012 ReLit Award. His latest work is Bourbon & Eventide from Invisible Publishing. He lives in Montreal.
Jess Taylor is the host and founder of The Emerging Writers Reading Series. Her full-length chapbook, Never Stop, is forthcoming from Anstruther Press this fall. Recently, she received the Gold 2013 National Magazine Award in Fiction for her short story, Paul, and was named one of the best alt-lit reads coming out of Canada by Dazed and Confused Magazine. Her debut short story collection, Pauls, will be released October 2015 by BookThug.
