We are having a pro-refugee, anti-bigotry rally in Nathan Philips Square on October the 21st, starting at 11 A.M.

The usual crowd of anti-muslim bigots, Proud Boys, Patriot Militias, neo-nazis and assorted fascists are attempting to rally once again in Nathan Philips Square - they clearly haven't learned their lesson from their failed attempts earlier in the year.

Framing their fascist agenda as instead being against Liberalism and Trudeau, they are using standard fascist tactics of co-opting leftist cloaks with which to shroud their motivations of mass deportation and genocide.

They do not oppose Liberalism for its failings of capitalism, exploitation, and environmental devastation, but rather because taxes are high they wish for even less wealth redistribution, the welfare state - crippled after years of the neoliberal project - is too large they want more people, families, and communities driven into poverty and out of their homes, and because of the recent payout given to Omar Khadr they wish for the State to be able to ignore constitutional freedoms and enact violence on its subjects even more than they do already. In short, they propose the removal of the so-called 'human face' of liberalism and uniting the power of the authoritarian State and that of Capital - which is to say, fascism.

Well they can't have the square, and they can't have our city!
