META is an annual exhibition that showcases a selection of innovative creations from Ryerson New Media’s graduating class. META XVI combines contemporary art practice with technological innovation, producing exciting cross-disciplinary pieces that the push boundaries of modern art in 2016. This year, the exhibition will be held at the Gates from April 14-16.

The artworks featured in META XVI have been carefully selected by a jury of professional artists, providing a glimpse of what the next generation of artists have to offer. The pieces this year range from sound art, video installations, net art and augmented reality. The works presented transcend traditional art practice to create compelling and thought-provoking pieces that focus on user-interaction and experience.
