Luminato Festival’s much-loved mass food experience will return to the heart of the Festival, with TASTE OF THE BEACH located at the Festival Hub at David Pecaut Square on Saturday, June 7th. Local chefs will be paired with Luminato Festival artists to present a themed menu of barbecue foods accompanied by a live afternoon performance.
TASTE OF THE BEACH takes place at CARDBOARD BEACH, an interactive installation designed by internationally renowned Cuban art collective, Los Carpinteros. CARDBOARD BEACH will envelope the Festival Hub in an immersive faux beachfront, complete with umbrellas, deck chairs, changing booths, and breakwaters, creating the illusion of a sunny oasis at the heart of Toronto’s urban core for the duration of the Festival.
The Festival Hub at David Pecaut Square will be a fully licensed site and the home of the Luminato Lounge featuring Parts & Labour.
