An Afro-Dub-Tryp band founded by queen-daughter of dub poetry, d'bi.young anitafrika and Sudanese master musician Waleed Abdulhamid, D'BI. & THE 333 features d'bi. on vocals, Waleed on guitar, Odel Johnson on drums, Chris Butcher on trombone and Patrick O'Reilly on guitar, creating a mesmerising new sound. Think Lady Saw's Dancehall meets Skunk Anansie's punk rock while mellowing to the enchantment of Tracy Chapman, infused with the seductive poetics of Nina Simone jiving to the polyrhythms of Fela Kuti!
