Legal Alien
Eryka and Sofí Gudiño invite you to The Space's next art party, Legal Alien. Toronto artists occupy the Drake Underground, creating a multimedia immersive art experience filled with visual masterpieces, sculpture, and performance.
Toronto is considered one of the most multi-cultural cities on the planet. Many of us who were born here feel intense ties to our cultural roots elsewhere. Legal Alien seeks to showcase Torontonian artists with global roots to explore their experience in the Western art world. How does our heritage affect our work? How do we strive to maintain our authenticity and continue stretching the borders of our imaginations?

About The Space:
The Space is a living arts event series launched in August 2015. The sister team curates a different group of artists every time to take over a Toronto venue, simultaneously introducing local artists to each other, the city's art hot spots and the community. As home grown Toronto expressionists, the Gudiño-Barthold sisters started The Space to give other artists more platforms to perform and exhibit, as well as the opportunity to network with one another. We aim to be "not just another art show", but a real celebration of community, creativity and local talent.
