These two premier artists have released a combined 29 recordings on labels all over the globe and have only recently joined together to mine that material in concerts that have been described as "daring, virtuosic, emotional, thrilling and fulfilling." The prolific Kevin Breit responsible for 20 of those recordings has performed on discs that have earned 10 Grammy Awards as well as his own earned Juno Awards, Gemini Award, and most recently The Pushing Boundaries Award from the CFMA for his latest recording Ernesto & Delilah. He has recorded with Norah Jones who covered Breit's Humble Me, Rosanne Cash, k.d. lang, Cassandra Wilson, Susana Baca, Bill Frisell, Hugh Laurie, Jane Siberry, Molly Johnson, Serena Ryder, and Oh Susanna to name a very few. Gregory Hoskins has flown faithfully and agilely under the radar since 1991. With naught an award to his name, he has crafted a critically lauded career with his songs of muscular sorrow. His latest recording, The Map of Above, The Map of Belowa drums/guitar affair with ace roots drummer Gary Craigwas released in August, 2013. On their marvellous new album...lyrics are real and bittersweet, arrangements are nimble, and the overall effect evokes a rum-based half dream involving Paul Simon, Joe Henry and truth.
