Halloween Cross Stitching
Whats this all about?
Learn how to create your very own Halloween-themed piece using simple cross stitch techniques! This class is perfect for beginners, and is an excellent way to keep busy on transit, in a coffee shop, or while watching TV. Located in the Gladstone Hotels Melody Bar, this workshop is a casual, fun opportunity to learn to stitch while having a drink. Come join us and get crafty!
What will we cover?
You will learn the basic cross stitch. Once you have mastered this stitch, you will learn how to use a counted cross-stitch pattern to complete a finished piece. We will also discuss the different materials available, add-ons, and where to buy your own supplies for future projects.
Who will be teaching?
Michelle Gauthier is an artist and graduate from OCAD University, with a degree in Criticism and Curatorial practices. She uses cross-stitching and embroidery to facilitate conversations around societal norms on controversial subjects, as well as to inspire others to see ordinary things differently. Her work has been featured by VICE, Buzzfeed, and Bizarre Magazine.
