Glorious Tibet: An Ensemble of Incredible Sights and Sounds
Come be a part of the 2014 Canada China Tibetan Culture Week celebrating Tibetan sights and sounds. This exclusive two part engagement will be showcased in Toronto for the first time from Tuesday, November 4 to Friday, November 7, 2014.
Audiences will be taken on a revolutionary film exploration of never before seen rare and fascinating stories. Multiple camera teams travelled to over 60 locations in Tibet over this incredible 500 day shoot to complete the world's most comprehensive record of Tibet so far!
The week concludes with a breathtaking song and dance performance by the 60 plus member Tibetan Lhoka Art Troupe. The troupe has been well received not just in Tibet but overseas in Japan, Switzerland, and France. This is their first performance in Toronto and their performance of traditional Tibetan music, dance and opera will leave you captivated.

About the Tibetan Lhoka Art Troupe
Founded in 1965, Tibetan Lhoka Art Troupe is located in the political, economic and cultural centre of the Lhoka Prefecture - Zetang Town. It has 64 staff members, mainly performing traditional Tibetan music, dance, and opera. The troupe consists of a dance team, orchestra, mini folk orchestra, workshop, stage design team and Quyi (Chinese folk arts) team. Over the past forty years, the troupe has created several breathtaking song and dances receiving over 170 national and provisional awards.
Having performed to international audiences in France, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, the Tibetan Lhoka Troupe will make it's Toronto debut on November 6 at the Bluma Appel Theatre.
