This free two-hour workshop will provide people who work in Canada’s media industry with information they need to get treated fairly as interns, freelancers and workers. The workshop aims to answer questions such as:

“Is there a limit to the hours they can ask me to work?”

“Should I be getting paid for overtime?”

“Should I be considered an intern, employee or freelancer?"

“How can I address problems without getting fired or blacklisted?"

We will cover basic employment rights in Ontario and who they apply to, and how we can collectively address the issues that impact us most.

There will be snacks!
