S&M (Sammie J, Maffioli)
Sammie J is a DJ, producer and label owner.
Over the last decade Sammie J has been crafting his skills as a DJ. He has been involved with Internet radio and has played for many people around the world. He has played on such Internet stations such as, AMW.FM, danceradio.ca, 1337x, digxradio.com just to name a few.
Sammie J has also held few different club residencies around GTA and the Barrie area. He has played such bars as the Roxx, The Five, Lily Lounge, Bassline, Ryze and held a weekly residency at Club Ooraa.
Sammie J has had the honor of playing with many great Dj's such as Dj Dan, Deko-ze, Robb G, Rob Daboom, John E, Demuir, Jason Hodges and many more.
Sammie J is also the owner of Golden Truth Recordings a Canadian based independent record label.
Maffioli aka Redeyez has over 20 years’ experience at tearing up dancefloors with his uncanny ability to smoothly take you on a journey from Deep House all the way to 4 A.M. Techno. In 2012 Maffioli was invited and showcased at WMC in Miami, he represented Canada at the Adidas/Sennheiser competition. Maffioli has played next to some great international DJ’s while in Miami including Ben LB (France), Johannes Drakenberg (Sweden, voted underground DJ of the year) Juliet Star (U.S.A.), Razzjazz (U.K.). Here at home he has played alongside local legends such as Mark Oliver, Deko-ze, Chris Ink and Robb G to name a few. Maffioli can be found in the studio cooking up beats to put smiles on party goers’ faces. You can count on him to get the party moving.
So where does that leave us? I’ll tell you where… it leaves us telling tales of some great parties that won’t soon be forgotten. S&M has the experience and the know how to get and keep a dancefloor sweating! Get ready… if you see this name on a flyer, get excited… you are in for multiple eargasms that will last a lifetime.
Gene King
Growing up in Montreal during the 70’s and 80’s, Gene King's childhood was heavily influenced by a plethora of good, rich Music. At the age of 13, King, who had already been dabbling with musical instruments, then naturally discovered the art of deejaying and hence started playing high school dances and roller-skating rinks, soon after.
From 1982 to 1987, King played at various dance clubs all over Montreal, Canada. Relocating to Toronto in 1987, Gene began playing steady gigs all around town, from well-known nightclubs, to smaller, more intimate venues and private events.
By the early 90's, Gene's love affair with studio production began. Now, over 20 years later, he has garnered love from true House Music fans across the globe by moulding an impressive discography for numerous ground-breaking Dance Music labels such as : Contraband, A&M, BMG, KMS, Defender, Slip N’Slide, Debut, Hi-Bias, Warner, Easy Street Records, Ultrasound, Philosophie Music,/Jellybean Records, and finally, the powerhouse 157 Shelter Records, the legendary staple out of New York City.
In October 2005, King founded his very own Shines Records imprint, which later spawned Plusgroove Records, releasing such dance-floor faves as “Sunrise" (by Genetix ft. Shanchoy), "Do with You" (by Suges ft. Limore), and many others.
The year 1993 saw King joining the ranks of Toronto's CKLN 88.1 FM, where he began deejaying "on the air" for the Midnight Madness show (later known as Soul Fusion Express). Soon enough, King branched off to create and produce his very own Vibes N Vinyl weekly radio show at CKLN, which turned into a quintessential T-dot staple for House Music fans. Vibes N Vinyl since then has been syndicated online to www.smoothtraxx.gr in greece , www.netmusique.com, www.motionfm.com over the last decade .
Nowadays, the essential Vibes N Vinyl weekly radio show can be heard on www.ilivradio.com, Fridays from 8 to 10pm, EST.
Roberto Manis
Roberto hails from just outside Toronto, Canada and has been DJ'ing for over 15 years.
Specialising in Deep, Tech and Techno, he aims to create a musical journey for all who listen, as an escape from the ordinary and to slip into 'Sinfully Mixed' bliss.
Heavily influenced by the sounds of Eelke Kleijn, Mark Knight, Dixon and Miss Melera, the aim is for sets that wind through the soundscape, with a musical payoff to the senses.
He currently has a syndicated podcast which is heard 3 times a week:
