Free Screening of documentary "My Prairie Home", presented by York Cinema & Media Studies
York Cinema & Media Studies would like to announce a special presentation of Genie-nominated filmmaker Chelsea McMullan’s film, My Prairie Home, the documentary-musical exploration of Canadian singer-songwriter Rae Spoon. McMullen tells the “playful, meditative and at times melancholic” tale of Spoon and their personal and musical coming-of-age journey. Through a series of interviews and performance sequences, all set against the beautiful backdrop of the expansive Canadian prairies, Spoon sweetly croons us through their queer and musical coming of age. The film will screen at Cinecycle, located at 129 Spadina Avenue, on February 26th at 8PM and will be followed by a Q&A; with Rae Spoon, Maya Bankovic (Cinematographer), Avril Jacobson (Editor)
