Etsy is the largest online marketplace for handmade goods, vintage products and craft supplies. Toronto is home to TEST, the more than 800 member-strong Toronto Etsy Street Team and 416Hustler the nearly 300 member-strong team for the entire 416 area. Between them they have a vast array of handmade jewellery, fine art, contemporary craft, indie fashion, accessories, eco-friendly bath and beauty items, handmade food and vintage finds.
This show is part of Etsy’s first-ever Made in Canada with multiple pop-up marketplaces created to celebrate the maker movement that the online shopping destination is known for. On Sat., Sept. 27, Etsy Team Captains from PEI to Vancouver will bring together artisans and vintage sellers to collaborate by hosting events in each of their communities. As part of the Canadian pilot project, pop-up markets are scheduled in over 20 cities across Canada, with thousands of vendors and shoppers participating.
