** TX Connect is our good friend Gavin, a man who has been making undeniable waves across the globe over the past year. Having signed with some of the hottest and timeless labels out there including CREME ORGANIZATION, L.I.E.S, DIXON AVE BASEMENT JAMS, PINKMAN and a number of others, TX Connect is without doubt the hottest thing to come out of the Lonestar State recently. With his music being featured on Resident Advisor and numerous other respected media outlets, we are sure this is one Artist you will be hearing a lot more of over the coming year.

We are proud to have TX CONNECT on the label, providing us with DNR 004, a killer EP featuring a remix by the UK's Acid Techno dons POSTHUMAN. TX CONNECT also has provided the label with an amazing Acid House remix for DNR 006 featuring breakthrough artist JC WILLIAMS.

All Funds Raised will be used to help cover the initial costs of pressing & distributing Vinyl Records.

** We decided to keep cover lower, and invite people to Donate what they can/want at the door. The base cover will help pay for the artists, while all donations will go towards the ~approximately $2000 needed to launch the label and cover the costs of the first couple of releases.

** POSTER ARTWORK by none other than our amazing friend and Deep North Family member BRAY. Her amazing "Clip'inZ" are an inspiration for the labels future artwork - - keep your eyes open for more wicked collaborations between DNR this Artist!

What is DEEP NORTH RECORDS??

As many of you already know, Toronto's underground music crew THE DEEP NORTH has been working hard over the past year getting tracks from a number of AMAZING artists with the goal of establishing another exciting and respected VINYL producing music label based out of Toronto. DEEP NORTH RECORDS aka DNR was born out of a dream to not only bring forward thinking music to Toronto, but also create a platform by which strong Toronto-based talent could join forces with extremely talented and respected international artists to release timeless house and techno records which come from the heart.

Just as the Deep North only brings in those artists -- via Late & Deep -- who are real people with their egos in check, the label strives to release the music of those individuals -- both local and international -- who are uninterested in the fleeting fads of the moment. We believe that a label should be made up of like minded individuals whose art is an expression of themselves and their own interests, rather than catering only to what the current market wants.

Like any truly successful team or collective, DNR will be made up of a group of people who share values, display strong chemistry and who value one anothers contributions. This label will be made up of only those people whom we truly have the pleasure of working with, those who care only about producing music that reflects their love for the art, rather than fitting any specific mould or making what the current market thinks is hot.

Timeless 4x4 -- be it house, acid, techno or any form it may take -- will always be hot on the dancefloor and will always be relevant, while the rest made for less noble reasons, is often quickly forgotten.
