TYPE IS 10!

Independent Toronto bookseller Type Books is proud to be celebrating its tenth birthday with help from more than 20 local authors and a full day of in-store programming for the whole family. Coinciding with Authors for Indies Day on Saturday, April 30, Types tenth birthday will welcome beloved authors as booksellers for a day, and offer customers the chance to get limited-edition TYPE 10 swag. Events take place at Types Queen Street location 883 Queen Street West, Toronto from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm.

AUTHORS FOR INDIES

Authors for Indies was created as a Canadian version of Sherman Alexie's Indies First Day--a celebration of independent bookstores in the same spirit as Comic Book Day and Record Store Day. The goal is to simultaneously promote independent bookstores across the country. This day is about revelling in our national devotion to bookstores, and the people who shop in them.

Canada's kidlit stars will host a story time in Types kids room, reading from their favourite picture books.
