Background info
The Bread & Honey festival began in 1973 as a one day celebration that now spans an entire weekend. This volunteer-run event embraces the history and community of Streetsville. The theme of Bread & Honey originated from commerce in the community with successful mills providing the bread and local apiaries producing the honey. The Bread & Honey Festival has been named a Top 100 Festivals Award recipient by Festivals and Events Ontario for 2013.
