Borrel at the Ossington: Sunday afternoon drinks and Dutch comfort food
Every Sunday afternoon, The Ossington is hosting a ‘borrel,’ modelled after the grand Dutch tradition of slowing down the day with a few drinks, comfort food and some good company. We're serving traditional Dutch fare including 'stamppot,' a delicious combination of mashed potatoes and kale, served with smoked sausage and lardons and topped with gravy (a vegetarian option will also be available); 'bitterballen,' minced chicken cooked in a savoury roux, rolled into balls, breaded and deep-fried, served with a special mustard from the North of Holland; and 'poffertjes,' mini pancakes topped with icing sugar and butter.
