El Rey, Bartender Atlas and Los Siete Misterios are coming together to offer a Mezcal education seminar! If you have ever been interested in experiencing this fine agave distillate, or always wondered the difference between Mezcal and Tequila, we have designed an afternoon course intended to wet the whistle and engage the mind. Along with tasting some very special and relatively rare products, we will explore the varieties of agave used to create mezcal, some of the regions producing great products, historical relevance of Mezcal in Mexico and some of the basic terminology associated with Maguey! At this seminar, snacks will be provided and you will sample five different mezcals - ranging from those available at the LCBO to those exclusive to El Rey.
