G20 Fifth Estate

The CBC's Fifth Estate examines the G20

The CBC's investigative series the Fifth Estate aired an episode on the G20 last night that sheds additional light on the wide instances in which excessive police force was used during the now infamous June weekend. Framed through the eyes of a collection of citizens who were arrested — but ultimately never charged — during the summit, it's remarkable how powerful some of the footage remains despite the relative saturation of media coverage. I wouldn't say there's a whole lot of new ground broken here, but the interview segments with Police Chief Bill Blair and those who were incarcerated make this a must watch.
