PLAY: The Art of Xbox 360

Xbox Canada is presenting a "behind-the-screen" look at the artistic design behind three of its most cutting-edge and visually stunning Xbox 360 games, at The Blue Dot Gallery in The Distillery District.

There's no arguing that video game graphics have come a long way, but is this really art? The debate parallels the long argued question: is photography art? Nearly everyone now agrees that photography is art, so video games as art can't be far behind.

I'm not sure this exhibit is worth rushing down to there for, but if your girlfriend has been begging you to take her to The Distillery District for a while, take this opportunity to look like a hero, then kick the acting into high gear and seem extraordinarily surprised when you stumble across the three fully playable Xbox 360 games Kameo Elements of Power, Perfect Dark Zero, and Project Gotham Racing 3.
